Learn How to Play the Game
Many youth practices are focused on memorizing set plays for the most talented players, learning how to play one position in a zone defense, and performing individual skills and drills. While all aspects are a part of the game, these alone will not prepare you to play basketball at a high level.
At the Prep D-League our focus is teaching TEAM concepts and skills.
The focus is on teaching players fundamental basketball concepts. Players learn to see the floor, understand player spacing and movement, and make their own decisions within the framework of a team.
Maximize your individual talent while learning to become a dynamic TEAM player
The offensive and defensive concepts and skills are introduced and taught each night in small groups using individual, team, and competitive drills. To foster mastery of the concepts, Prep D-League's nightly competition progresses from 3v3 Half Court, to 4v4 Cross Court, concluding with 5v5 Full Court Games.
"Champions play as they practice. Create a consistency of excellence in all your habits."
